Shamanism and Path of the Shaman Training Course
Shamanism is the most ancient form of spiritual practice known to mankind. Its practice dates back over 40,000 years. In Siberian the word Shaman literally means, “Spiritual healer”, or “one who sees in the dark”. Shamanism teaches us that everything that exists is alive and has a spirit. Shamans speak of the web of life that connects all forms of life and the spirit that lives in all things.
Shamanism is the practice of joining with the intelligence of all living beings, as well as living in balance and harmony with all of creation. Shamans are assisted by helping spirits in the natural world to bring about healing to individuals, communities, and the very world we live in.
In a Shamanic world view, all illness begins with the spiritual realm first. In our hectic modern society, we have become disconnected from nature, ourselves and our higher power. We do not take the time to honor our interconnection, our need for healing or the signals put out by our bodies, our spirits and our planet. As we continue our state of disconnect, not only do our lives become fragmented, so do our souls. Shamanic healing services help bring peace and balance to the soul or spirit, which restores the physical body of an individual to balance and wholeness.
Why would someone have a Shamanic session?
To assist:
-healing from traumatic events and illness
-to feel more alive
-to connect better with others and the Earth
-to connect better with your true self
-to become healthier, stronger
-to help restore your joy in life
-to help you move forward in your life and understand existing blocks
-to help understand and heal persistent sadness, fear, or anxiety
-to help heal disease or pain
-to help with lifestyle habits that you wish to change
-to help with low energy
-to help heal feeling imbalanced (i.e. ungrounded, or weighed down feelings)
and much more!
A Shaman uses tools and techniques that have been in practice for thousands of years to help clients reconnect to themselves and their higher power. A Shamanic session may include, but is not limited to: journeying, drumming, rattling, spiritual work, energy work, etc. A session usually lasts an hour to an hour and a half.
